The way the information is ordered is as follows:
The location of the lots for sale is shown by postal or street address block. House numbers start at the West or South ends of the streets and work up. Please don’t get confused when you see the legal description of the lot at your realtor’s office or at the Property Appraiser’s website. The legal description will be given by the platted Block # and Lot # as shown in the Old Town Plat. What we are doing here is to use street addresses as locators instead. The table below shows how to cross between the two block types.

You may find it helpful to visit the Nassau County Property
Appraiser’s webpage at www.nassauflpa.com.
This site allows you to look up assessed property values, and review prior
sales. You can search the records a number of ways, but perhaps the most
convenient way to compare data on this page is to search by MAP. You can then
pan N,S,E,W to look at neighboring properties and see their valuations. You can
either zoom in and find
A couple of words of caution. First, please note the
property appraiser’s own cautions as regards accuracy. Second, recognize that
the property assessor’s records are not updated in real time. In fact there may
be months of delay between a real estate transaction occurring, and the
transaction appearing as an up-dated record for the property concerned. The
delays are incurred in part by non-timely filing of transactions with the
County Clerk’s office, then by inevitable delays in processing at that office,
and then by further inevitable delays in transferring the data to the Property
Appraiser’s office, and finally a delay while the record is updated. This is
not to be critical of the Property Appraiser’s office (their website is
extremely useful); but it is to require you to validate the data independently
before making a decision.
